OOTD \\ Disney Fever - or How You Find Need-to-Have-it Clothes Online

19. Februar 2016

Everyone knows that moment when you see the perfect item - a stunning skirt, a to die for beautiful dress or a gorgeous sweater. The need-to-have-it feeling comes suddenly and does not go away. Offline usually not a problem , a simple " I love this blouse , may I ask where you've bought it ? " and you can shop it too. Also online is often not a problem , most Instagram users tag the respective labels on their outfits and even if sometimes not, to most people appreciate a nice message " Hi , great jeans - where did you get it?".Problems arise, however , when the original source of the image is unknown or you see it on TV . Unfortunately, this happends to me ...

When the Saturday night movie ends and my boyfriend is already asleep on the sofa, then I rummage through various online shopping portals or checke my Twitter and Instagram account, as a background maintenance I watched most times some RTL / Pro7 / Sat1 nonsense. In recent weeks, mostly Germany Idol. And there it hits me. The clothes that I have never wanted, which I did not know that I need it, but still wanted it. It was perfect: funny, kinda cute yet cool.
In some auditions the singer Vanessa Mai wears a large sweater with Mickey Mouse hands prints. Love at first sight - I had to have this shirt! Exceptionally even my boyfriend did not say somthing against it: "It would fit you". Of course it would, it has Mickey Mouse hands on it!

And so the search began: First, with Google text and image search ( "Mickey Mouse hands Sweater" ...), then a nice Tweet ( "Hi, the sweater is super nice, where is he?") under Vanessa Mai`s image via Twitter and the same game then even with Instagram - all in vain, but not forgotten.
Days later I received a nice message from young entrepreneurs Marc-André Bruch on Facebook, who introduces me his side KALASTAA. Here the users helps other users to find searched fashion items. Fate! I signed in and posted the photo of Vanessa Mai with the sweater and a short discription ...Not even 24 hours later, I had three comments to my post. I always thought I am pretty good in google and find things online, but there were real pro at work. All three links took me to my desired sweater. The sweater of the brand ElevenParis is actually made for men and is available in dark blue and light gray. But too early happy, unfortunately it was sold out everywhere.

However, giving up has never been my forte. Since I now knew the brand and the name of Sweaters, I searched again online and the fate not let me down: On the German thrift-onlinesite “Kleiderkreisel”, a girl just sold her new, unworn ElevenParis Micky Mouse sweater in size XS. Although I already had often bad experiences with the young, naive users at Kleiderkreisel, I was again really lucky. The seller was super nice. And so just another 24 hours later the sweater was on its way to me.
And now I may present it to you: My desired sweater that finally arrived, with detours and a lot of luck and with the help of great people, where it belongs - in my wardrobe! Now I am ready for the next Disneyland trip! : D

    1. Hi Johanna, thank you so much for your comment. Yes, It is also really difficult to find a disney print which does not look too childish with glitter or pink sequins. ^_^
