Movie Run // Star Wars „The Force Awakens"

Jetzt mal Klartext: ich bin ein Nerd! Ja so eine kleine, Brillen tragende Streberin mit Bestnoten und eine Vorliebe zu Mathe und Tier-Dokumentationen auf arte, das war ich zumindest mal während meiner Schulzeit. Inzwischen verstecke ich das recht erfolgreich unter tollen Klamotten und teuren Designerhandtaschen. Aber ganz im Inneren ist er noch, der kleine Eva-Nerd. Heutzutage sind Ners ja dank „Big Bang Theroy“ und „Nerd-Stars“wie Facebook-Gründer Mark Zuckerberg, weiß die Welt, das Nerds nicht nur sehr erfolgreich sind sonder eigentlich auch ganz cool sind. Daher ist es kein Wunder das der neue Teil der Star Wars Saga mit einer ordentlichen Werbetrommel aus Merchandising-Produkten, Pressemitteilungen und TV-Spots schon Wochen vor der Premiere beworben worden ist. Und so erwachte nicht nur die Macht neu sonder auch mein kleiner Nerd und ich erhaschte gleich ein Kinotickets zur Vorpremiere des neue Films.

Now get this straight: I'm a nerd! Yes such a small, wearing eyeglasses nerd with top marks and a preference for math and animal documentaries, at least during my school days. Meanwhile, I hide this quite successful under great clothes and expensive designer handbags. But inside me there is still that small Eva-Nerd. Nowadays thanks "Big Bang Theroy" and "Nerd Stars" as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, the world knows that nerds are not only very successful but actually quite cool. Therefore, it is no wonder that the new part of the Star Wars saga with a neat big drum of merchandising products, press releases and TV commercials has already been advertised weeks before the premiere. And so awoke not only the force but also my little nerd and I caught the cinema tickets for the preview of the new film.

Hintergrund // Background

Der erste Star Wars Film erschien 1977 und erzählte zum ersten Mal die Geschichte „in einer weit weit entfernten Galaxie“. Die „alten“ Teile umfassten die Episode IV–VI und berichten von den Kämpfen der Rebellen gegen das Imperium, sowie die Wiedererweckung der Jedi-Ritter. Dank dem großen Kinoerfolg verfilmte George Lucas 1999 die Vorgeschichte, Episode I- III: Der Untergang der Jedis und der Republik sowie die Vergangenheit von Darth Vader.

Die ganze Geschickte ist demnach erzählt, mit Happy End und großer Final-Party. Warum also noch mehr Star Wars?

Im Oktober 2012 kaufte Walt Dieney, Lucasfilm mit allen Markenrechte für über 4 Milliarden Doller auf. Und da sich diese Investition für die Mickey Mouse lohnen muss setzt das Unternehmen auf Lucasfilms erfolgreiches Pferd: „Star Wars“. Und so werden bis 2018 drei neue Star Wars Episoden in die Kinos kommen.

The first Star Wars movie was released in 1977 and told the story for the first time "in a far distant galaxy". The "old" parts included the Episode IV-VI and report of the struggles of the rebels against the empire, as well as the revival of the Jedi. Thanks to the great cinema success George Lucas filmed 1999, the prehistory, Episode I- III: The sinking of the Jedi and the Republic, and the past of Darth Vader. The entire Nifty is told thus, with happy endings and great Final Party. So why even more Star Wars?
In October 2012 Walt Dieney bought Lucasfilm with all the trademark for more than 4 billion Doller. And this investment must pay off for the Mickey Mouse. So the company sets on Lucasfilm's successful horse: "Star Wars". And so three new episodes will be released till 2018.

Die Premiere // The premiere

Heute Nacht um Punkt 00:01 Uhr startete der neue Star Wars Film in den deutschen Kinos und ich war mit dabei. Die Karten haben wir schon Anfang November gleich im Kartenvorverkauf gekauft und uns gleich tolle Plätze gesichert. Gestern Abend gab es zur Einstimmung noch Star Wars die „Rückkehr der Jediritter“ zur Einstimmung. Der letzte Teil der Sage endet ja mit einem Happy End und so stellt sich die Frage wie es weiter geht.

Gespannt fuhren wir also ins Kino um halb zwölf an einem Mittwochabend. Im Kino dann aber die Ernüchterung. Ich weiß als Eventmanagerin hat man immer größere Erwartungen, aber mal ganz ehrlich wenn zwei volle Kinosäle mit Star Wars Fans nachts um zwölf im Kino hat, kann man doch etwas Programm bieten oder? Keine Stormtrooper Begrüßungs-Menschen, keine Jedi-Pappfiguren zum Fotos schießen, nicht mal Star Wars Musik im Eingangsbereich und auch keine verkleidet Besucher.... ich bin eben nicht in Berlin sondern in Biberach, die Realität ist leider ernüchternd und schwarz. Und so fiel ich in vielerlei Hinsicht etwas aus der Menge von Männern in schwarzen Hoodies auf, mit meinem blauen T-Shiret Kleid mit Star Wars Druck, den hohen Overknees-Stiefeln und meinem roten Wintermantel. Ja meine beiden Hälften, Nerd sowie Fashionista waren enttäuscht.

Jetzt kann nur noch der Film den Abend retten. Wenn das Kino schon versagt muss Walt Diney jetzt zeigen ob es Lucasfilm würdig ist...

Tonight at point 00:01 clock started the new Star Wars film in German cinemas and I was there. The tickets we bought already in early November right in the ticket office and saved us the same great seats. Yesterday evening we watched Star Wars, the "Return of the Jedi" to get into the right mood. The last part of the saga ends with a happy ending, and so the question arises how it will goes on.
So excited we went to the cinema at half past eleven on a Wednesday night. But in cinema there was the disillusionment. I know as an event manager you always have greater expectations, but honestly if you got two full movie theaters with Star Wars fans, you can still offer some program or? No Stormtrooper welcome people, not Jedi cardboard figures to take pictures, not even Star Wars music in the lobby and no dressed up visitors. I'm just not in Berlin but in Biberach, the reality is unfortunately sobering and black. And so I fell in many ways overfressed in the crowd of men in black hoodies, with my blue T-Shiret dress with Star Wars pressure, the high-Overknees boots and my red winter coat. Yes my little Nerd and my fashionista-self were disappointed.
Now only the movie can save the night. If the cinema has already denied Walt Diney now show whether it is worthy of Lucasfilm...

Der Film// The movie

Ich möchte hier keinen Spoiler setzten, dennoch möchte kurz die Handlung etwas erläutern. Im Vorfeld wurde viel über die Handlung spekuliert, da ja wirklich so gut wie nichts an die Öffentlichkeit gekommen ist. Alle Trailer sind unfassbar nichtssagend genau wie die Presseberichte Es ist die Fragen, aller Fragen: Wie geht es weiter?

Ich fasse kurz zusammen: der letzte Film der Saga endet damit, dass Luke Skywalker dank der Hilfe seines Vaters Darth Vader den dunklen Imperator tötete. Darth Vader, dessen gute Seite am ende siegt, stirbt in den Armen seinen Sohnes. Han Solo und Prinzessinnen Lea zerstören mit Hilfe der Rebellen Armee den Todesstern und bringen somit den Frieden in die Galaxie zurück.

Im „Das Erwachen der Macht“ spielt nun einige Jahre nach der Befreiung. Die dunkle Seite ist zurückgekehrt unter dem Namen „die neue Ordnung“. Luke Skywalker welcher Jedis ausbilden wollte ist verschwunden. Beide Seiten suchen nun nach dem verschwundenen Skywalker. Mehr gibt’s im Kino...

I do not put any spoilers, but would like to briefly explain the action a bit. Ahead was a lot of speculation about the plot, there's really come nothing to the public. All trailers are incredibly vacuous like the press reports, it is the questions of all questions: What happens next?
I summarize briefly: the last movie of the saga ends with Luke Skywalker thanks his father Darth Vader Help killed the Dark Emperor. Darth Vader, whose good side wins at the end, dies in the arms of his son. Han Solo and Princess Lea destroy with the help of the rebel army the Death Star and thus bring peace to the galaxy back.
In "The Force Awakens" is now playing a few years after the liberation. The dark side has returned under the name of "the new order". But Luke Skywalker Jedi has disappeared. Both sides are now looking for the missing Skywalker. More's in the cinema ...

Fazit // Conclusion

Was soll ich sagen – meine Meinung ist geteilt:

Ich fange mit den negativen an: Als alter Star Wars Fan hat man irgendwie das Gefühl, dass manche Szenen und Ereignisse extreme bekannt vorkommen. Kreativ war man bei Walt Disney nicht gerade. Es gibt mehr (Walt Disney typische) lustige Szenen und Floskeln. Teilweise erinnern mich manche Szenen stark an WALL-E und auch an Pirats of the Caribbean. Der Einfluss der neuen Drehbuchautoren unter Disney merkt man...

Positiv ist vor allem die Integration der alten, bekannten Schauspieler. Wir treffen all unsere liebgewonnen Charaktere in dem neue Film wieder. Harrison Ford als Han Solo, Carrie Fisher als Leia Organa, Mark Hamill als Luke Skywalker und natürlich C3PO sowie R2D2. Diese werden begleitet von neuen Charakteren, welche dadurch in die Star Wars Welt integriert werden. Die Kombination ist toll gelungen. Dadurch wird eine gute Grundlage gebaut für neue aufregende Abenteuer mit den neuen Schauspielern. Und als dass sollte der Film auch gesehen werden, als Bindeglied zwischen den alten Filme und denn nun folgenden Teilen. Unter diesem Aspekt ist es ein wirklich gelungener Film. Er schließt mit dem alten ab und führt uns ein in eine neue Ära der Star Wars Filme. Die Schauspieler sind toll, die Musik altbekannt und die Special Effekts ohne Mängel.

Am Ende des Abends (na ja eher 3.00 Uhr morgens) macht der Film und vor allem die Story das Verlangen nach mehr Star Wars! Also Reingehen und Anschauen!

What can I say - my opinion is divided:

I'll start with the negative: As an old Star Wars fan you somehow feel that some scenes and events extreme sound familiar. Creative people were not at Walt Disney. There are more (Walt Disney typical) funny scenes and phrases. Partially some scenes remind me strongly of WALL-E and also at Pirats of the Caribbean. The influence of new screenwriters under Disney realize ...
Positive is especially the integration of the old, well-known actor. We meet all our fond characters in the new movie. Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and C3PO and R2D2. These are accompanied by new characters, which are characterized incorporated into the Star Wars world. The combination is great succeeded. This is built for new exciting adventures with the new actors. The film should be seen as a link between the old films and for now the following parts. Under this aspect, it is a really well made movie. It concludes with the old and introduces us into a new era of Star Wars movies. The actor are great, well-known music and special effects without defects.
At the end of the evening (well more 3.00 clock in the morning) makes the film and especially the story, the desire for more Star Wars! So watch it!
