Eva's Life // Ganbatte Nihon!

Today, the tsunami disaster in Japan will mark the fourth time - on 11/03/2011 bounced a powerful tsunami, triggered by an earthquake on the japanese east coast around the city Sendai. The damage to the Fukushima nuclear power plant subsequently conducted a meltdown. Even today, the area around the reactor is not habitable.

I'm still impressed the how people in Japan have dealt with the disaster. The mutual helpfulness, the sacrifice of the helper and the attitude of those affected - strange to some, but so typically Japanese and adorable. Japan is and remains my favorite country!

For me, the tsunami destroyed my dream - my semester abroad in Japan. On 22.03.2011 (11 days after the Katasrophe) my flight would then went to Japan. Long I've saved for the semester abroad, have prepared me a scholarship, travel documents, visas and accommodation, and even learned Japanese.
Suddenly it was like everything just swept away and I had to watch on TV how my favorite country and my dream fell into chaos. The Foreign office and my University canceld my semester abroad and offered me to fahten in a different country. But for me it was only JAPAN! And so I waited a year until the 22.03.2012 I put my feet on Japanese soil.

I believe very deeply in me lives a little Japanese girl :) Nihonjin desu!
I have NEVER regretted that I waited one year. My semester abroad in Japan were one of the best six months I have experienced so far. And I will definitely be back soon return "home". Japan since its a great nation in a wonderful country with an impressive culture and super sympathetic people!
